Do I get a personalized training plan?
Not exactly. You bring your own plan, but The Marathon Labs is here to help you make it work for you. We provide guidance, insight, and support so you can train smarter and stay confident along the way.
Do you recommend any training plans?
We don’t endorse ONE plan, but we do recommend coach supported plans created by Angela Naeth at Angela Naeth Coaching. These go right into the Training Peaks app and sync with your watch and are tailored for you, but way more affordable than 1-1 coaching. Learn more here: TrainingPlans+ at angelanaethcoaching.com. Is this 1-1 coaching?
No, this is a group support model. You’ll have access to live educational Zoom calls, Q&A sessions, and a welcoming community of fellow marathoners .
How is this different from training on my own?
You’re not just following a plan. You’re learning why it works, troubleshooting challenges, and sharing the journey with people who understand the highs and lows. It’s support, community, and knowledge , all in one space.
How much is it per month?
It’s $39 USD per month, for 6 months. There is a $20 USD sign up fee at the start to reserve your spot. You may cancel any time.
Do we get swag?
Heck yeah you get swag! A Marathon Labs water bottle, some stickers, and the opportunity to buy a race singlet or t-shirt. You also get a FREE strength training plan.
Who is this group for?
All levels of runners – from first timers to experienced marathoners who want structure, guidance, and connection. If you have a plan but want support, feedback, and a community that “gets it,” this is the place for you.
What happens on the Zoom calls?
All Zoom sessions start with a short presentation on timely topic, and then time for Q & A. It’s interactive, not a lecture. All Zoom calls will be recorded and posted on a private YouTube channel. HERE is the zoom schedule.
Can I ask questions about my training?
Absolutely! Bring your questions, struggles, or “what ifs” to the calls or the community. While it’s not individualized coaching, you’ll get expert guidance and practical advice to help you adjust and improve.
What is the GroupMe group about?
The private GroupMe group is to connect with others in between Zoom calls. To ask questions, share stories and pics, talk all things training, and more.
Can I join if I am racing a fall marathon that is close to NYC/CHI/MCM but not one of those races?
If there is room after the sign up period, we will open it up to other October/November marathons, but the only course previews will be NYC/CHI/MCM
How many people will be in the group?
We will open up the group to the first 50 people. If those fill, we will look into adding more.
What are the dates?
The group begins on Monday, May 11, which is when the GroupMe app opens and things get rolling! The first Zoom is on Monday, May 18. The lab group ends with the final Zoom call on Wednesday, November 4.
